Weekly WIP - 1/100 Nightingale (Part 5)
Not much of WIP here, but I felt like share what's be going on. Some personally stuff came up and I really lost interest in modelling and specifically this kit. So after a week or two away from model building, I started getting the itch to build again. But, seeing how much more there is to sand just made me want to throw everything in a box and put it in the back of the closet. So check out the video below for what I've been doing to get me back into the Nightingale kit.

Weekly WIP - 1/100 Nightingale (Part 4)
Still sanding. Got the hip, front, side, and back skirt done... Well nearly done. Noticed a few issues during filming that need to be taken care of. Started working on the wings and weapon. Waiting for some option parts to arrive before tackling the arms and head. Hopefully they'll arrive before I finish the other parts. Anyways, here are the latest vids...

What's in the box? - RC 1/100 - MSN-04-2 Nightingale
Here's the box. Nice art on the box... even if my box didn't arrive in good shape.
The box itself is huge. It's bigger than the 1/100 MG Ex-S Gundam box.
And with a box this big, you get a ton of stuff.
The manual is pretty big. It's bigger than a normal MG manual. I actually like this manual more than the Bandai ones. More photos. Larger photos. Instuction images are more detailed. Overall, it just seems like a nicer prsentation to me. One thing that is missing is a decal guide. This is disappointing, but by no means a necessity.
You also get decals and clear stickers. As you can see mine are not in the best shape. The ones that aren't bent look good. As I am unsure of the quality, I'll have to try them out before puting them on the kit.
You also get some metal options parts and an LED. They look pretty nice. As I understand it not all versions of the kit include these parts, so if you're interested in getting this kit, I'd recommend asking about the metal parts.
Lastly, there are the parts to build the kit. They look ok. There's definitely a residue on the them. The parts also seem thicker than a normal Bandai kit. I've heard a lot of vague statements about how bad this kit is, but I see no issue thusfar. I assume this means that the fitting will be bad, but that remains to be seen.
From just looking inside the box, I'm pretty pleased with this kit. Hopefully, building/painting this guy won't make me change my mind.
